family sessions

My family and children sessions fall into one or a combination of the following location categories:

At home

sessions at home tend to be more relaxed, and personal. They’re the perfect setting for all kinds of sessions, but especially for families with babies or toddlers (this is the only location option for newborns). Your home doesn’t have to look like a Crate and Barrell catalog…it reflects you, perfect imperfections and all. You will be surprised with what we can do at home!

Urban and/or downtown – city of your choice

I love weaving the vibe of your city into family photo sessions and urban locations work great for families with older children, seniors, couples and engagements, or anyone whose style is hip and casual. Think beautiful textures, lots of color choices, and architectural elements.

Natural

Southern California has a fun mix of natural settings. Groomed parks, grassy areas with a brilliant blue sky, a field of mustard and sweet peas in the spring, and of course a variety of beaches. Any of these locations make a great spot for a photo session and I have several go-to spots that have fantastic light and fun places to explore.

Date, time, what to wear, etc.

Upon booking your session, I will collaborate with you on how to prepare and what to wear. We’ll set up the session date, time, and location together and discuss your vision for the session and the story you want to tell about your family.
