After a much needed trek to the Prima Deschecha Landfill today to drop off at the newly discovered recycle waste drop we visited the newly discovered Villa Romano Green Farms at the other end of La Pata. I am already excited to go back with the kids and friends for one of their Farm Chef classes. Who’s in?
It is a sweet little escape right out Avenida Pico. I felt like I dropped into Tuscany for the hour we were there. Tomorrow they are having a fantastic sounding event there-Sapore Della Domenica-and I wish I could attend.
This place is tiny and unexpectedly right by the curb at the Bella Collina Golf Club in San Clemente. But it has presence and will fill you with a feeling of Old World Italy. I can only imagine what it would be like at dusk. Both Merrik and Maliea had fun exploring the flagstone steps, wine barrells, ladybugs and crates of fresh veggies. We put together a selection of hand-picked carrots, beets, fennel, leeks, garlic and topped it off with their amazing olive rolls and Mango Sage Honey.
This place is not to be missed.
