Hi there! My name is Kristianne Koch Riddle. I am a photographer based in San Clemente, CA and this is my photo blog. I have been passionate about photography for over 20 years. I am also passionate about surfing, sailing and yoga but haven't been able to do as much of those things as I like since having my 2 beautiful kids. I don't like crowds or trendy things. My blog is where I share my thoughts and a selection of favorite photographs I have made: portrait sessions, my family adventures, personal studies and fine art images part of a series. I am so glad you stopped by for a visit. As a vocational photographer, I bring to you, my clients, a fine art photographer's eye and a commercial photographer's preparation and technical skills. I love to spend time with families creating memorable, artistic, storytelling images of their time together. I also love designing out beautiful, contemporary ways to display your images: whether it be a custom session album or framed or mounted print clusters for your walls. I’ve been so depressed and stressed over the whole economy thing (imagining myself shooting rabbits in our backyard to feed the kids, wondering if I should stock up on Campbells soup, TP [oh, yeah we can always use leaves] and toothpaste). I used to subscribe to Orion magazine because of it’s intelligent articles, environmental slant and beautiful artwork. If you want to get beyond taking snapshots and consider yourself a true photographer, a good place to start is understanding composition. Consider these questions as a part of your learning process toward becoming a photographer who “composes” images rather than just takes pictures: 1. Define the term composition.
